[MPCX standalone] Realtime Audio Pitch/Stretch for a Region in Sample Edit

I realize that for all audio paths one couldn't have this, but in Sample Edit mode and for a specific Region, it would be great to be able to pitch shift and time stretch in real-time, using a sort of XY pad, with potentially better quality.

What I mean is some form of tool like that. E.g. the X axis is the time stretch (without pitch change) slower/faster, and the Y axis is pitch shifting (without speed change) up/down.

This would be applied to the current audio Region only, so that one could listen to the result BEFORE actually committing the process the region. This makes the sample editing atomic (in that it doesn't necessarily apply anywhere else) and it would add better micro editing of samples.

  • Hey Robert,

    Thanks for posting!

That's a cool idea! I would love to see realtime editing in addition to tune editing. Be sure to submit this as a feature request with the MPC 2 Software's built-in feedback module. The feedback module is represented by a smiley icon at the lower right side of the software next to the browser icons. This information goes directly to the Akai team for consideration!
