I’m confused

please create a mapping to use mpc live as a controller in Reason 10 PC version

please create a mapping to use mpc live as a controller in reason 10 to control and play their rack extentions (Kong,NNXT,Redrum) like the MPK mini is set up to do.I don't want to have to open the MPC software as a VST always in Reason plus its very complex setting it up in reason 10 with the usb 3.0 cable. I been struggling to find out how to do this.I have no problem using the mpc plugin in reason but it takes a toll on my processor and I want to use the reason rack sounds with the mpc live beat repeat clocks, and I like the way the live is set up to repeat. Help. Does any one know how to do this .

  • Hey Delwyn,

    Thanks for posting!

If you want the MPC to send MIDI CC values to Reason, you can use MIDI Control Mode in either Standalone or Controller Mode. MIDI Control Mode will allow you to send MIDI note and MIDI CC values from the MPC. In Standalone, the MPC effectively becomes a programmable pad controller. In Controller Mode, MIDI Control Mode will make it so that the MIDI data you are inputting goes to the host DAW rather than the MPC plugin. You can map the incoming MIDI CC data to parameters in Reason.

If you have a specific idea for the MPC workflow, be sure to submit this as a feature request with the MPC 2 Software's built-in feedback module. The feedback module is represented by a smiley icon at the lower right side of the software next to the browser icons. This information goes directly to the Akai team for consideration!

If you need an alternative method of submitting feedback, you may use the following links:

    Thanks for your feedback!
